Upcoming Bird Walks and Events at the Rockfish Valley Trail
25 September 2009 5th Anniversary Celebration for the Virginia Birding and Wildlife Trail8:00-10:00 a.m. - The event starts at the Devils Backbone restaurant, located on route 664 just northwest of route 151, with a two hour bird walk either at a Wintergreen site or at the Rockfish River Valley Trail. Binoculars and cameras are welcomed. Children need to be accompanied and old enough to respect the quiet required for the walk and respect for the natural environment. Please do not bring dogs along for the walk. 10:00-10:30 a.m. - We will regroup at Devils Backbone and have a 30 minute presentation about the Virginia Birding and Wildlife Trail. 10:30-1:00 p.m. - Maureen Kelly and the Devils Backbone will present information on Nelson County and the Brewery. We will then cut the birthday cake and invite folks to visit the exhibits. |
